What I Had
I had a Great Dane with cheese and mild chili and a large Coke Zero.
What I Spent
$7.00 and change
What I Thought
It was a good dog - very filling. The chili is homemade and was very good. I was glad to see Coke Zero as an option.
Would I Return?
Absolutely. I want to try the spicy chili.
Other Thoughts
I liked the atmosphere. They’ve gone out of their way to make it unique. Local business cards on the counter, license plates hanging on the walls, and the Great Dane Hall of Fame add a nice personal touch.
We love this place and its owners. They are so friendly. The burgers are as good as the dogs and the soup can’t be beat.
What I Had
I had the Great Dane (1/2 pound hot dog) with cheese and hot chili, fries, a hot dog custard, and regular Coke.
What I Spent
less than $10
What I Thought
The hot dog was awesome and plenty of food by itself. But, everyone was raving about the fries so I went back and ordered those and noticed the hot dog custard which was begging to be tried.
Would I Return?
Yes, if I am in the mood for a hot dog this will be my default hot dog “stand” from now on.
Other Thoughts
The staff was very friendly and even handed me a menu as I left and said that next time we come to call ahead and they will get the Great Danes cooking so we will not have to wait for them.
What I Had
Great Dane (1/2 pound hot dog) with mustard and kraut. Plus fries and a drink.
What I Spent
Around $6–I forget the exact amount.
What I Thought
Great food at a great price. Lots of options. Very friendly, personable people.
Would I Return?
I look forward to the opportunity.
Other Thoughts
Nice home-town atmosphere, great options on topping your dog, and really good value (large Coke $1.29!). While eating a half-pound hot dog should not be a regular, weekly occurrence, I definitely look forward to going there again. Also, they score points for offering Coke Zero.
What I Had
Great Dane hot dog with chili
What I Spent
$6 and change
What I Thought
It was good, better than I expected really. Lots of different combinations to try.
Would I Return?
Definately would return.
Other Thoughts
I drive by this place everyday on the way to work and honestly it is easy to miss. It is a great lunch spot in Acworth that combines good value with good food.
What I Had
Interesting enough, it was good but I don’t remember which hot dog it was. I know it was smaller than everyone elses.
What I Spent
$7 and change including my coke.
What I Thought
The food was pretty good. I haven’t been a big fan of hot dogs but this place changed my mind for the moment.
Would I Return?
Most definitely.
Other Thoughts
The staff appeared to be personable and calling their repeat customers by name. That says a lot.
What I Had
Two chili-cheese dogs, and half a Great Dane.
What I Spent
$8ish
What I Thought
Awesome! Totally can’t beat a place that knows how to do hot dogs.
Would I Return?
Yup
Other Thoughts
They have put together a pretty down home atmosphere. It’s not exactly the cleanest place in the world, but the food is great. I don’t know if they have a liquor license, but an ice cold beer would go great with those hot dogs.
I always get a hound dog with medium spicy chili and fries.love the scuba dog, want to try the Philly cheese-steak burger. the hot dog bun custard is pretty good. i wish they served “Chicago style” dogs. Maybe they do and i just didn’t see them on the menu.I was a regular @ windy city grill until they went under.Chicago dogs are one of my guilty pleasures.
