    What I Had
Marty Burger - hamburger steak on Texas toast with cheese and grilled onions.

    What I Spent
    $9 after drink and tip

    What I Thought
The burger tasted fine, but there was an amazing absence of seafood on the lunch menu. Fish sandwich and a shrimp/oyster plate are the only options. I really wanted seafood, but I wasn’t in the mood for the $15+ lunch.

    Would I Return?
    Probably not.

    Other Thoughts
There’s just not anything about the Fish Head Grille that stands out. The burger I had was similar to something Waffle House would serve, and I’d be glad to just go to Waffle House instead.

  2. What I Had
Fish Sandwich with fries and water to drink.

    What I Spent
    $8 and change with tip.

    What I Thought
The fish sandwich was very good, but I felt it was a tad small considering the $6 price. The fries were those fat, crinkle-cut sort which I usually don’t care for, but were fried crispy enough to be good. Homemade tartar sauce was great.

    Would I Return?
    Not for lunch.

    Other Thoughts
Looks much better inside than it does outside. Lunch menu was suspiciously void of seafood. There were only two “seafood” options and one was $11 (on a lunch menu). Some of the non-lunch seafood entrees sounded really good, but I have a hard time spending $10+ before drink and tip on lunch. The prices seemed more in line with what I’d pay for dinner, though, so I might be willing to give them a shot for dinner sometime. The fish sandwich I had was very good and the homemade tartar sauce was great–they just need to work on the prices (especially for lunch).

    What I Had
Half dozen fried shrimp platter (which came with fries hush-puppies and cole slaw) and a coke.

    What I Spent
    $13.25 before tip

    What I Thought
The shrimp were quite good, and the platter had a nice amount of food. No complaints about the quality, although it wasn’t stand-out from other seafood places.

    Would I Return?
Maybe. I would have to be in the mood for seafood and not want to have to drive very far.

    Other Thoughts
The prices seem high to me and the seafood selection isn’t as good as you would expect. The food is good but not enough to make me want to run back.

    What I Had

Fish sandwich with fries and a coke.

    What I Spent

I think it was around $9 or $10. I’ve really got to start posting these much sooner.

    What I Thought

I wouldn’t put the fish sandwich on my “do not eat again” list if I were to go back. It had some flavor to it but could have used a little bit more. The fries were good; probably a notch better tasting than the fish sandwich.

    Would I Return?

That’s kind of tough to say being that I usually only eat fresh fish that I catch myself. I wouldn’t mind going back just to experience what we witnessed when we first when in the front door.

    Other Thoughts

I bit pricey and not enough seafood on the lunch menu.
