Overview:
Big Pie in the Sky is a pizza restaurant that caters mostly to a younger crowd.  They have a $5 lunch special and slices of pizza bigger than your head.  Big Pie in the Sky is also home to the Carnivore Challenge - $250 awarded to you and a friend if you eat an outrageously huge, 11-pound pizza.  You can find them online at bigpieinthesky.com.

    What I Had
1 slice with ham and salami and a side salad.

    What I Spent
    $7 and change.

    What I Thought
Very cool place to be. The people were nice, the pizza was great, and the atmosphere was good. Seating for large parties is a problem…we had to split into 2 tables, but it wasn’t a big deal.

    Would I Return?
Absolutely. Probably more often than I should…

    Other Thoughts
It’s not my favorite pizza place around here, but it’s very, very good. And, really, where else can you get a great lunch for $5 anymore?

  2. What I Had
1 giant slice of pizza with pepperoni and sausage and a side salad.

    What I Spent
    $7-something.

    What I Thought
Awesome. The flavor of the pizza was really good, the toppings were great (lots of choices), and the value was unbeatable.

    Would I Return?
Definitely. I look forward to it. I absolutely need to try the salami on the pizza.

    Other Thoughts
Great pizza, great atmosphere. Just BARELY edges out my “other” favorite pizza place in the flavor department and definitely in the value department. I added a side salad to the $5 lunch special, but I definitely didn’t need to. One slice is plenty! Plus, any pizza place with an “eating challenge” is worth going to!

    What I Had
2 slices of one topping pizza

    What I Spent
    About $7 with water

    What I Thought
The pizza was great and the slices were “bigger than your head” just like they claimed. I was hungry and two slices was too much.

    Would I Return?
Yes, I want to go back with a group of about 8 people and take on the Carnivore. A 30″ 11 pound pizza. If you can eat it in under and hour with one buddy you will win $250.

    Other Thoughts
Nice place with a great lunch time atmosphere. Be ready to wait about 20 minutes for your pizza due to the lunch crowd and them baking your slice when you order it.

    What I Had
The 1 slice lunch special which included a coke

    What I Spent
    $5.30 after tax

    What I Thought
Really good pizza and 1 slice was enough for lunch

    Would I Return?
Definitely, in fact I already have. It may become a regular spot.

    Other Thoughts
One of the best pizza places in the area. Not a lot of seating, but we haven’t not gotten a seat yet.

    What I Had

A great big slice of pepperoni pizza with a coke (lunch special)

    What I Spent

    $5.30

    What I Thought

I went in with low expectation but after one bite, that was quickly turned around as it was pretty dog-on good.

    Would I Return?

Most definitely, if I’m in the area of course

    Other Thoughts

For the price and the taste, you can’t find much else to beat it. I still have my favorite pizza place but this one could possibly be #2.

    What I Had
Two slices of pizza with one with sausage and one with bacon.

    What I Spent
    $5-6

    What I Thought
The pizza slices are very large. Sometimes places that have large portions sacrifice the quality…but the pizza was actually good.

    Would I Return?
I would go back if I am in the area.

    Other Thoughts
Big Pie in the Sky is a great value for money. The large slices are inexpensive and good food.
