    What I Had
    Double Bypass with onion rings

    What I Spent
    $5

    What I Thought
I loved this place. The burgers were served side-by-side on a hoagie roll. The onion rings were some of the best I’ve ever had. The banter from Al was delightful. The atmosphere was great. And I literally spent $5 on lunch.

    Would I Return?
    Absolutely. I can’t wait.

    Other Thoughts
Al doesn’t take credit cards. Make sure you come with cash.

  2. What I Had
Double Bypass (two 1/4 lb hamburger patties with cheese on a toasted hoagie roll) with onion rings and a Coke Zero.

    What I Spent
    $5. Period.

    What I Thought
This place is truly a hidden gem. The food is incredible (for short-order style grill cooking), the atmosphere is so down-home you’ll listen for banjo music, and the prices are phenomenal. I literally spent $5 for all that above.

    Would I Return?
Absolutely, I would. I would make this a weekly thing if my arteries could take it.

    Other Thoughts
Cash only. When I went, the drink machine was out of (or he just doesn’t stock) lemonade. The sign hanging on that nozzle was “PICK SOMETHING ELSE.” I love it! He also has a daily $1.25 special (breakfast and lunch).

    What I Had
Double Bypass with drink and onion rings

    What I Spent
$5.00 - Cash only, no credit cards

    What I Thought
While there are choices on the menu the most likely pick is either the daily special or combo. I ordered the Friday combo which was appropriately called the Double Bypass. For $5.00 it included a double cheeseburger, fries or onion rings, and a drink. Al cooks it and let’s you know when it is done so you can come add whatever fixins you want. Oh, and pick up your fries or onion rings as well. Al is not there to be wait on your every need!

    Would I Return?
Nibbles is one of those places that you may not venture into unless someone takes you there or someone you trust tells you to go there. But, if you do not eat here at least once you are missing out on a unique lunch experience. I will be going back for sure.

    Other Thoughts
Al only takes cash so don’t show up with your fancy schmancy credit card and expect to pay him.

    What I Had
Double Bypass combo (double cheeseburger, coke, and fries)

    What I Spent
    $5.00 even

    What I Thought
The double cheeseburger was a little unusual being two patties side by side on a small sub roll. It was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while though, considering the price range.

    Would I Return?
I would definitely go back, although I’m not sure on the frequency. If you’re health conscious, it may be a rare stop, but worth checking out.

    Other Thoughts
Interesting little place I had never even noticed despite working not too awful far down the street. Seating may be an issue if you have more than about 4 people, but you should give a try sometime.

    What I Had
Double Cheeseburger, Onion Rings, and a coke. “The Double Bypass”

    What I Spent
$5 flat, no tax….there is a tip jar

    What I Thought
This place was surprisingly good place. Kind of a whole in the wall, but the food is great at a price that can’t be beat.

    Would I Return?
I already have, and I will again.

    Other Thoughts
This place is easy to overlook, but you should seek it out for lunch one day. I love the Onion Rings, some of the best I have ever had. Bring cash because there are no credit cards excepted, but only $5 will do it!
