    What I Had
Some fish filet (perch?) with shrimp and fries

    What I Spent
    $11

    What I Thought
It wasn’t bad, but nothing stood out as being remarkable. There’s got to be a better seafood place around here.

    Would I Return?
No, I’d probably just go find a Captain D’s if I absolutely had to have fish to eat.

    Other Thoughts
Access to the parking lot from Highway 41 is a pain if you’re driving South from Acworth.

  2. What I Had
The shrimp and perch lunch combo with water.

    What I Spent
    $9 + tip

    What I Thought
Everything was hot and freshly cooked. The cole slaw was very good.

    Would I Return?
Probably not. It was pretty pricey (even more so at dinner time) and the food itself was pretty unremarkable (other than the cole slaw).

    Other Thoughts
It wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t fantastic, either. I was hoping this would be the great seafood experience I’ve been searching for in Acworth, but I’m still searching.

    What I Had
Since I was at the Oyster Cafe I tried the Fried Oyster Sandwich with fries and a water.

    What I Spent
    $7.37 plus tip (no drink)

    What I Thought
Since this was my first time trying oysters I am not an impartial judge on the taste. I did find I liked the sandwich better when I added hot sauce though. The fried oyster sandwich is a little clumsy to eat and takes both hands to keep it together.

    Would I Return?
Not for lunch. I may come for an evening meal with my wife sometime but it is on the pricey side for lunch.

    Other Thoughts
Everything on the lunch menu is fried. If you want to stray over to the grilled menu you will be in the $10 to $12 range for lunch. The owners really need to add a few non-fried seafood choices to the lunch menu.

    What I Had
Shrimp and catfish platter with a water

    What I Spent
    $8.22 plus tip

    What I Thought
The food was good but nothing that stood out. The catfish was a whole fried fish, which I was wishing was a fillet so I didn’t have to gnaw it off the sharp little bones. The shrimp were better, but I only got 3 of them. Fries were plentiful on the platter though.

    Would I Return?
There’s nothing really drawing me back. I’m a seafood fan, and enjoyed the food, but I’d probably try to find another seafood place to visit before returning there.

    Other Thoughts
The grilled fish items are a good bit more expensive, so unless you want a $15 or so lunch, you’re stuck with the lunch menu which is all fried, or non-seafood items.
